Ford Fiesta phone holder

My problem with Ford Fiesta was that I wasn't happy with the phone holder I had. It wouldn't work on any of the vents because the steering wheel was blocking my view and when I mounted it on the top of the screen, I couldn't see the screen, the phone was too far and the holder scratched my plastic trim.

After some googling of my car there was this interesting "hidden compartment" subject in forums. After I took a look at it, turns out all Mk7 and Mk7.5 Fiestas have this plastic trim under the radio that has no purpose, but if you remove it there is a pretty big storage compartment behind.

After removing the trim and finding it I took a look at the plastic piece I was holding in my hand and realized this would be a great placement for a phone holder. It would be close enough, not blocking anything to point I couldn't use it and it would look really cool.

After some time I got the first design.

After I made this, I made a post about it on a facebook page for all Mk7 Fiesta owners, and people seemed very interested in how this is going to turn out.

It seemed like I wasn't the only one having phone holder placement issues.

After the first print, holder was holding the phone perfectly, but it wasn't fixed enough in the place of original plastic trim and would fall out while driving over some bumps on the road.

It was still strong enough to take some pics and post them in the same facebook post.

After this, people started to send me messages if I will be selling these, and after a few requests I decided to do it.

I adjusted the design until I was happy and made a little promotional video of the holder.

Holder works like a charm, I've been using it for 2 weeks now and it's great!

Perfect placement, and look cool. I just have to paint it, but I kind of like the raw 3D printed look.

Also it's kind of a worst scenario strength test, so I probably won't be painting it.
